The Take Me Home Tour 2013 is the second headlining concert tour by the English-Irish boy band One Direction.

The original concert tour was billed as the UK & Ireland Arena Tour but by mid-2012, the concert tour expanded with legs in North America and Australasia following the band's international fame.

The concert tour commenced at London's O2 Arena on 23 February 2013.

Last concert is scheduled for October, 30th 2013 in Melbourne, Australia after over 100 shows!

One Direction is a five-member boy band made up of:

       Liam Payne (born 29 August 1993) from Wolverhampton,

       Louis Tomlinson (born 24 December 1991) from Doncaster,

       Harry Styles, (born 1 February 1994) from Holmes Chapel, Cheshire

       Niall Horan (born 13th September 1993) from Mullingar, Westmeath, Ireland,

       Zayn Malik, (born 12 January 1993) from East Bowling, Bradford.

 

They applied as solo candidates on the 2010 edition of the British X Factor, but after the suggestion by Simon Cowell, the judges put them in a band and therefore qualifying for the Groups category.

One Direction have received 2 BRIT Awards in 2012 (winning one with their first single "What Makes You Beautiful" for Best British Single). They have a NME Award, two Kids' Choice Awards and three MTV Video Music Awards among other awards.

One Direction’s first single, What Makes You Beautiful, released on September 11, 2011, was the fastest selling single of the year 2011 and peaked at #1 on the UK Singles Chart.

Their second single Gotta Be You, November 13th 2011, peaking at #3 on the UK Singles Chart.

Their album Up All Night followed on November 21st reaching #2 on the UK Albums Chart, narrowly missing out on #1 to Rihanna.

When their album Up All Night was released in the USA, it debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts, setting the record for the highest-selling debut album by a British boy band.
